Article Processing Charges
Article Processing Charges (APC)
The TEJAS Journal of Technologies and Humanitarian Science (TJTHS) operates as an open-access publication. To support rigorous double-blind peer review, professional copyediting, typesetting, DOI allocation, digital archiving, and worldwide open-access dissemination, a nominal Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only after a manuscript is formally accepted for publication.
What APC Covers
Payment of the Article Processing Charge directly funds the necessary infrastructure to maintain high editorial and publishing standards, including:
- Double-blind peer review coordination and editorial evaluation
- Permanent DOI (Digital Object Identifier) assignment via Crossref
- Professional PDF formatting, layout design, and XML generation
- Immediate and unrestricted worldwide open-access hosting
- Lifetime online accessibility and permanent digital archiving
- Indexing, metadata management, and plagiarism screening tools
Payment Terms & Modes
- Post-Acceptance Payment: Payment is requested strictly after the manuscript completes peer review and receives formal editorial acceptance.
- Supported Payment Methods: Direct Bank Transfer (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS), UPI, Credit/Debit Cards, or Online Payment Gateways.
- Official Receipt: An official invoice and payment acknowledgment receipt will be issued upon successful transaction.
- No Hidden Costs: There are no submission fees, per-page charges, color figure fees, or annual membership fees.
For APC & Payment Inquiries: Contact Editorial Office at editor@tejasjournals.com or Administrative & Technical Support at admin@tejasjournals.com
Refund Policy
- No Pre-Acceptance Charges: Because APC payment is requested only after final acceptance, no fee is charged or collected during the submission or peer-review stages.
- Post-Publication: The APC is non-refundable once the article has been formatted, finalized, and published online.
- Editorial Cancellation: A full refund will be processed if the journal withdraws an accepted, paid paper prior to publication due to internal technical or operational issues.
- Overpayment: Any duplicate payments or transaction errors made inadvertently will be refunded promptly.
Waiver Policy
TJTHS is committed to supporting researchers from resource-constrained backgrounds to ensure financial barriers do not prevent publication:
- Partial or full APC waivers may be granted to corresponding authors from low-income and lower-middle-income countries.
- Waiver applications are also considered for unfunded students, early-career researchers, and authors with verified institutional financial constraints.
- All requests are evaluated independently by the Editorial Office based on scientific merit, research quality, and documented financial need.
- Submission Requirement: Authors must request an APC waiver at the time of initial manuscript submission. Requests made after the completion of peer review cannot be processed.
Editorial Independence: APC waiver approvals are handled independently of the peer-review process to ensure publication decisions remain strictly based on scientific quality and research integrity.
